Beaver Factoid; A beavers front teeth would continue to grow longer and longer if it did not wear them down chewing on trees.

The pictures of the Pine are from one of the jobs we have done on Cobbets Pond in Windham, NH. The Pines around Cobbetts can be huge and we have tackled our fair share around the lake. The one pictured was easy due to the space allowed on the beach, no crane. We took it in half!

Just for reference this bucket truck has a 60' reach, as you can see in the photos that tree is 100' or more and was on the earthen dam. The hazard was that if this tree went over in the wind the root ball could breech the dam. The shot with the very top of the pine visable you may notice that Dan had to climb out of the bucket and relieve weight from the back side and attach a rope near the top, you can just make him out in the upper canopy.

The other lake picture was from the other side of the lake and Dan was topping that one into a freshly dug foundation hole on a steep incline.

My daughter trying to climb a huge beech in Portsmouth, NH.

Take a good look at the one with us in front of the truck. I wish I had a better camera with me that day.

If you feel the need to attach licence plates to trees next to out houses, please either don't use nails or don't call us to cut it down.

The newest edition to the fleet is Gaby Lou aka The Beaver Truck a 1972 Ford F500. When I got it in the fall of '07 it had 18,000 miles on it! An old farm truck that just sat. It was last inspected in '86. It has officially become my favorite vehicle yet, just barely ahead of the '73 Super Beatle convertible I had years ago. It has a 390 in it and is all truck, 1st gear is so powerful I haven't used it yet. Still need to get it lettered and I'm trying to keep the old paint.

I had to take The Beaver Truck into Boston recently to deliver the wood that is pictured in these photos. It was "Art" wood and I ended up delivering it to Myer Berlow who was President for Global Marketing Solutions, AOL Time Warner, when AOL was on the rise, and is now CEO of  Nanoterra. He is a master carver and bowl turner.

Now working with Mayer Tree Service, there is little we can't do with the help of their enormous alterain crane, and their resources. This is one the of two 60 ton Grove crane's imported from Germany at the disposal, it has 150 feet of main boom, is all wheel steer and drive, and is what every tree company would buy if they could.
